Birds & Bees Project. The Birds & Bees Project provides reproductive and sexual health information to the community that would not otherwise be available, and works to fill the gap often left in people’s lives by abstinence-only curriculum or no sex education curriculum at all. We use interactive and engaging teaching methods to address a host of reproductive health issues, facilitate a comprehensive sex education website for teens, and create and disseminate a variety of reproductive health handouts, brochures and our one-of-a-kind curriculum to youth, adults, parents and educators. In addition, Project staff are community resources, presenting workshops, professional trainings and in-services on reproductive health issues, and talking to your kids about sex and sexual health.

New this year, we have expanded our programming to include the nation's first Reproductive Health Residency program for students preparing to be teachers. The program is designed to provide students skills based experiences as well as connect them with mentors and reproductive health resources in their community; so that program participants are able to provide best practices based on sex education to the youth they will serve as public school teachers.

The Birds & Bees Project specializes in developing presentations that fit a variety of students. We customize our programs to fit the needs of different age, sexual orientations, cultural, and ethnic groups. We also create presentations that focus on specific issues healthy relationships or disease prevention. Our website www.birdsandbees.org, is a comprehensive resource for youth, teachers and others looking for answers to their reproductive health questions.

Each year, we work with thousands of adolescents and adults by:

• Providing the information needed for healthy decision making;
• Clarifying values and teaching youth to respect their bodies and minds;
• Presenting the honest facts about reproductive health
The Birds & Bees Project is a resource that provides answers to questions about reproductive health, helping people make informed decisions about sexuality, abstinence and choices.

In addition to schools and youth organizations, we also have programs designed for:

• At-risk adults
• Staff in-services
• Teacher workshops
• Professional trainers
• College students
